Invisible Braces - Invisalign

Invisible braces are a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. The system utilizes the latest in computerized technology and three dimensional modeling to generate a series of clear, see-through aligners, technically known as invisalign.

It has been found that almost half the US citizens remember spending about two years of their teenage in braces and had to encounter embarrassment because of using ugly metal braces. But people who need dental alignment correction these days are lucky because they can now opt for "Invisible Braces".

Invisible braces are a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. The system utilizes the latest in computerized technology and three dimensional modeling to generate a series of clear, see-through aligners, technically known as invisalign. It works well in treating a majority of crooked teeth problems including overbites, crowding, crossbites and gaps between teeth. However, if your case is diagnosed as a severe orthodontic case which perhaps requires teeth extraction or your teeth has mixed definition, you may then be unable to choose invisalign as a treatment option. It is generally not suitable for children.

Perhaps the most obvious advantage of invisalign is the discreteness about your braces. Your braces would not be visible unless someone takes a close look at your teeth. Since they are removable, you can eat and drink during the treatment plus brushing and flossing is not a problem. Moreover, oral hygiene is improved and it is also known to reduce cavities and gum disease in comparison to wire braces which trap food and plaque. It causes no mouth abrasions during the treatment due to the absence of metal. So, the time you spend at the doctor's clinic in making adjustments is reduced.

An average of 9-15 weeks is required to treat your teeth with invisible braces and you are required to visit your doctor once in 6 weeks to keep a check on the progress of treatment. The treatment can cost anywhere between $3000 to $5000 depending on the complexity of your case and the dentist you choose. The cost may appear slightly higher than conventional metal braces. But the stream of advantages it brings along would tempt anyone to opt for it. However, the treatment would cost you just half the price in Asiatic counties like India, Thailand or Singapore and you can combine your treatment with a pleasure trip in one of these exotic locales.

Invisible braces have known to be extremely comfortable and will remain a secret to others! Invisalign is a state-of-the-art alternative for those ugly looking metal or wire braces. They will aid in giving the great smile that you always longed for.
